M.Sc Computer Science Eligibilty, Scope and Career opportunities

This discussion is for the M.Sc Computer Science students and for those who want to pursue M.Sc (CS). I will try to cover all aspects starting from eligibility to career options after completing the course.
When we talk about a course first question comes in our mind is Am I eligible for this course, isn't it?
Eligibility: for admission into M.Sc (CS) student must be graduate in any discipline with 50 marks, there is relaxation of 5% marks for the reserved category students.
Now it looks a bit strange, eligiblity for masters course in Computer Science is graduation in ANY discipline. This may be a opportunity for non CS background students and obviously it's a traditional masters course for BCA and B.Sc (Comp Sc) students. Technically speaking, Computer Science courses are logical and interesting, Mathematics plays important role here. If you are good at maths or having interest in maths, you will enjoy studying computer science courses.
Next question is what after M.Sc (CS)? I will explain this query in 2 major perspectives, first one is Teaching and other is Industry.

Teaching career perspectives after M.Sc (CS):

Almost who study master's course have interest in academic career, yes you read it right "almost". Teaching career may be in schools, colleges and universities.
School level teachers have designations TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers) for middle and secondary schools, PGT (Post Grduate Teachers) for senior secondary schools. Qualification for the posts of PGT in almost all subjects is Master's degree AND B.Ed along with Teacher Eligiblity Test (HTET for Haryana) in a particular subject. BUT,
for PGT (Computer Science), eligibility is Master's along with teacher eligibility test (HTET), B.Ed is not required for becoming PGT, therefore it is saving your precious 2 years.
Qualification for Assistant Professor in college and universities is Master's course along with UGC NET in relevant subject. Therefore to become eligible for Assistant Professor of Computer Science you will have to qualify UGC NET (Computer Science and Applications).

Industry career perspectives after M.Sc (CS):

These days, Computer Science course are in high demand, everything is going digital, All services are becoming Online. There is lot of scope for Computer Science professionals. Even in near future also, it is expected that same will continue. In Industrial perspective also, master's in Computer Science wins. There are many good platforms where you can apply and get jobs in Computer Science field, few examples are AMCAT and e-Litmus tests.
Hope I have covered all relevant information, feel free to leave a comment and if you liked share it further!!
